Folks, I will second this. The only reason I didn't do the bagels and coffee for everyone is that the Dealer is about 1800 miles away. The car showed up (off the truck with the plastic still on the seats (and everywhere else) just as requested and only 7 miles on the Odo. No options forced, no nothing. Its refreshing to come across dealers (and salesmen: Joe drives a Red/Black) who know what the car is and how it should be treated.

If you are looking (and if they have more coming in), and refuse to pay more than MSRP, call Honda of Mentor, ask for Joe. BTW, the cost of shipping from Ohio to Dallas: $525 (Yes this was open truck, and yes the car was a little dirty, but the shipping tape was still all over the car and after being detailed, it looks magical.)

It is nice to see that there are good dealers around.....

That is really great to hear ! This is the way all dealers should handle things, regardless if the car is an S2K or not. My dealer treated me very well and my car was left completely untouched except for PDI stuff, plus the salesman filled it with gas for me.

The only thing I didn't like was they put a plastic/metal-look-a-like dealer stick-on on the trunk lid which I removed a few weeks later.

It's nice to hear stories like this for change. I wonder if it's because these dealers were located in small cities where there is not a large demand for S2000's. Customer service is about zero in our area.

My dealer did not have as much customer service as some but it was better than most. The car had only 6 miles on it and spent most of it's time in the showroom before I purchased it. I would have liked to have taken it right off the truck.

It did have the dealer tags, front and rear, but those are easily discarded and the salesman made sure he gave me the body colored plugs for the front bumber.

The best part was that this dealer does not add any permanent dealer logos to the rear of the car.

I agree that small dealers have better customer service. In Atlanta we have one of the largested dealers in the Southeast and their cutomer service absolutely SUCKED... IMO
