Buy a torque wrench and use it.
Not only will you save yourself from the $40, you may save your car from not loosing a wheel and being wrecked. In addition if that is not already enough the way the rotors are essentially held on by the wheels means you can dramatically increase your chances of warping a rotor if the lug nuts are not all evenly torqued.
Sorry I could not see any pic, and if it was really nasty you might want to consider replacing more than one if they have all been subjected to over torqueing in the past.
You can get a Craftsman wrench from Sears for about $70. They are not the best in the world, but they sure aren
