This is so cool. I never really got into sim racing because the hardware didn't feel close enough to the real deal for me. I can imagine this being lots and lots better in that department!

So I have been racing mostly in Forza, but when I tried Asseto Corsa on Xbox one X, it is realistic enough that if a car is manual in the game. You have to drive it as a manual. If its a DSG, you have to use the paddles. Welllll i didnt have paddles. So back to the drawing board. I bought these super large paddles for the G920 and got to modifying. After about an hour of bending and cutting them to my will it looks like they just might work!

Kinda like this!! Now I just gotta modify the steering wheel so they fit. That will be fun.

chop chop! its like a puzzle!

dont be fooled. it might be pretty but its the cheapest flip up that exists lol. not recommended for real world use lololol.

now I can drive the Race Cars and Ferraris in Assetto Corsa.

doing some preliminary testing for a 5.1 system! Sounds great so far! i installed a center channel inside the dash, the door speakers handle the right and left and i have rear channels as well. Yikes tho, that jagged metal in the back is ugly.

gotta make something to clean up all this ugly

chop chop

So I had a revelation, what if I installed a subwoofer where the trans would be? Would it feel like the drivetrain is alive?

hiding the ugly.

hard at work making more templates.

new center channel using Eclipse 4" component speakers.

Center channel installed! I also made an enclosure for them out of Kilamat to help contain the sound. It works GREAT. Also! a Sneak peek of the 5.1 audio amp and the Xbox One X mounted.

MORE UPDATES TO COME SOON!! stay tuned!

DUDE!! I totally get that!!! That is absolutely why I went crazy like this. Even high end Sim Racing equipment, the racing pedals dont feel "real" because they are not real. Granted they do a good job simulating brake pedal mushiness in most cases, but IMO it still feels like expensive video game buttons.

I wanted to use REAL pedals, going through the factory master cyls and everything. With how I have it built now it feels really good using springs to apply feedback and pressure back on the user. I have some mad ideas for converting the system to hydraulic, but that's still in the development and collecting parts stage.

Props to InlinePRO for helping me source some of the parts i'll need to convert the Clutch to use a real S2000 clutch system.

Picked up some expired Sparco Pro2000s on the cheap. This one was nekked with any cover, so i got new covers. Now it looks like new again!

dannnngggg I like this!!

I pulled these badass Eclipse 3 way components out of storage. They should make for excellent surround sound speakers.

The rear panel is starting to take shape!

Self, should I put the simulator inside the house? Yes.

time to move it in the house!!! Stripped everything out of it to make it easier to move.

Its in the house! This spot works well!

Carbon fiber wrap should look a bit better than the wood.

Soooooo much better!

The black Mb Quart amp on the left handles the Center Channel and the subwoofer. the Long Kicker amp in the the middle powers the front and rear surround speakers.

Cutting up some perfectly good S2000 fenders because thats what i like to do in my spare time.

Folding up the sharp edge...

I present to you the Honda S200

Sparco had one of the seat covers logo in the wrong place. Whoops. they sent me another one, thankfully. THUMBS up for sparco!

These will provide Haptic feedback over bumps

These literally kick ass

added another amp to provide in car entertainment. I moved the front speakers to outside the car for the surround sound. And now I am using the in door speakers for music while driving separate from the game's audio.

home audio sub... you are being upgraded.

Super legit S2000 spec CE28 that lived its last days at VIR. It too lives again redone in Illusion Malbec Powder Coat by Rimguard.

Im thinking this chandler is out of place.. what do you guys think?

Muccchhhh Better use of a dead CE28 dont ya think?

its almost finished!

thanks for tuning in S2ki! More updates coming soon from your fellow RACEhouse madman.

Ok, this going good until you started cutting up perfectly good panels. WTF, man?!?!

Lol, this just gets crazier and crazier! Next thing you'll be adding hydraulics and custom programming so the cabin will tilt and swivel appropriately!

My man! Were you a Roadshop tech also? I used to be the Roadshop manager back in the day, nothing was more fun than having an empty dept... then cranking up the triple MTXs and shaking the displays at the front of the store...suddenly the roadshop had lots of customers lol.
