Brought an s2000 back from the grave to live again virtually.
Question: I see where you said the DBW box replicates throttle pedal feel, but shouldn't it also be possible to mimic brake pedal feel? The brake-by-wire cars I've driven have been very good about replicating the progressive firmness of the pedal, and also transmitting the vibrations of ABS and even pad deposits on the rotors.
Also, still just in awe, lol. LOVE the full fenders, doors, and CE28 lampshade!!
Edit: Might I suggest adding a PS4 Pro and GT Sport? The physics are really superb, and the sound is very much improved (meaning: basically tolerable for a race length). But a few months ago they finally added the JDM AP1 S2000 and it's got all the S2000 handling quirks we love lol. (But it's RHD of course, which might be disorienting in your rig!) GT Sport on FB also invites users to "show us your GT rig", and you're a shoo-in to be highlighted on their page.

My man! Were you a Roadshop tech also? I used to be the Roadshop manager back in the day, nothing was more fun than having an empty dept... then cranking up the triple MTXs and shaking the displays at the front of the store...suddenly the roadshop had lots of customers lol.

thats a good question on the abs on the dbw brake cars. The s2000 isn’t one of those so i dunno? What cars did you drive with dbw braking?
when I had first started this project I used the G25/27 and planned on using Ps3s to do triple monitor with GT5/6 but abandoned that idea for the Xbox One with 4K.
I’m not sure what the complexity would be to switch out my wheel for a G29 for ps4 capability. Is GT sport any good? I had heard it was rather limited compared to the GT6 and wasn’t really a full game in comparison.
Hm, I retract my brake-by-wire statement, lol. My '19 Accord Hybrid does have it but I've never pushed it, and I was mistaken about the other car I'd driven, it's not true bbw the way I was thinking.
GT Sport is the most realistic *console* sim available -- it's not iRacing but it's good enough that it's the basis of an actual FIA-sanctioned championship! (The winners even attend the annual year-end FIA champions' gala to receive their trophies!) Physics and lighting completely reworked from the ground up after GT6, overall very impressive. No damage model to speak of, but good wet weather. When it came out, yes content was limited compared to GT6, but they've steadily added cars, tracks, and events pretty much monthly (and all free), so there's a good bit to explore now even if you're "offline" (i.e. not racing against real people).
OTOH just heard rumor that the next GT will be one of the PS5 launch titles next year...

im certainly looking forward to what comes next for consoles. I like the simplicity over PC.
ideally though I’d like to do triple monitor. And if the next gen consoles can do it then it will be a no brainer for me.
I’ll likely end up sticking with Xbox for now since the sim is built for it but I guess we’ll see what the future holds.
thanks for your insight into GT sport. I had written it off since it was so limited at release.
