Here is a very possible solution for your seating;

While talking to King you might consider a steering boss to mount a smaller momo or sparco steering wheel to gain additional leg room and vehicle entrance/exit space.

While the list price on the 10.5 lb. corbeau seat is $555, they can be had for $449 + rails.

On another note, My steering rack and knuckles arrive at the spa later this afternoon or tomorrow - gregstevens, maybe you could snap some pics of the machine work and update the bump-steer thread

I'm 6"5' about 220, I have sat in the Mugen seat and it just don't work. It wasn't un-comfortable, it just plain hurt.

I'm 5'11 and 180lbs right now (need to diet) and the Mugen seats are really, really tight on me. Once I am in, it isn't bad, but getting in is a pain.

Heel-toeing shouldn't be an issue for someone of your height (i assume you have a bigger foot than my 8.5-9). You just have to angle your foot enough to make it work.

The pedals are far enough apart on this car that I have to put my heel near the throttle and the ball of my foot on the brake and then I roll my ankle to get to the gas.

I have pedals in my Teg and I can just put the left side of my foot on the brake and roll my ankle and get the gas.

My problem with heel toeing (yes this is connected to this thread) is that if I slide forward even 1/2 inch when I pivot my foot to the left to get on the brake and gas my thigh contacts, with some force, the steering wheel, which is obvously not a good thing. If the wheel had been adjustable this would have solved it. I went for driving shoes because this lowered my legs enough to prevent my legs from pinning the steering wheel in one location.

I can attest to the effect that driving shoes provide. Very nice! I picked up a pair of Diadora's a while back. I LOVE them. Really increases the feel of the pedals. They are made of kangaroo leather and red, of course...

Get driving shoes even if you don't have height issues...they really do help.

My personal fav is the Mugen seat, but I want to do a pair if I do racing seats at all....the pair of Mugen is really too rich for my blood at this time, so my other option on the list of favorites is the Momo EVO seat which I tried out over at Northstar Motorsports.

If I remember correctly, they have a [ltred]Momo EVO II[/ltred] which is made a bit wider for larger frames, you may want to check that seat out.

Alright, I visited the guys at Conversion Technologies (http://www.aerotechnik.com/dijitrace/itmidx7.htm mainly Porsche stuff but a lot of seats) in Oakland and here's the scoop (at least as much as I have discovered thus far). The Sparco Evo is a little tight (too tight for me), but then there's an Evo II, which is 30mm wider. I'll probably get that one but I'll sit in it before I do anything and will let you guys know. Now here's the good news. If the Evo II doesn't fit there's even a wider Evo III (I believe 60mm more than the Evo). So no matter what (unless you don't fit in a S2000) you'll have a good bucket seat to sit in. I haven't tested the fit in the S2000 but it seams that we should be OK with at least the Evo and the Evo II and most likely the Evo III. Recaro makes a similar seat (exterior dimensions), Pole Position, which is actually dimensional bigger on the inside (more room for us big guys) than the Evo, but it is way more expensive. Unless there's some catastrophe I'm pretty sure I'll go with the Evo II.

Luder94 - As Dave mentioned, the Sparco Evo II seat does not fit in the S2000. A friend of mine was selling his and I had high hopes until we did a trial fit. (Were you thinking of the Sparco seat, or does Momo make one with the same model name?

Ben at Bulletproof Designs is developing a set of seat rails for the Sparco line of seats. That seems to be the limiting factor, nobody else has developed an S2000-specific rail for their seats - please let me know if I'm wrong. The Mugen seat is appealing because it was developed for our car and will bolt right in. However, with rails they run about $1300 each and have a deeper bucket than I would like. My goal is to lower my seating position and retain relatively ingress and egress. I have my eyes on the Sparco Roadster, but are there any other options out there?

Hey Josh, surprised to hear from you this morning. I figured you were on 95 North driving up to Georgia. I agree with you, the Sparco "Roadster" is an attractive choice. My only concern is the shoulder width at 22.5" (maybe, maybe not) the seat base will fit at 19" with no problems and it leaves plenty of room for side mounting brackets.
Maybe the "Roadster's" cover can be removed and a 1/2" of foam can be cut out of the shoulder area.
