the ONLY time i run into this problem is on very hot days. granted i've owned the car only since october but i've been stuck in the same traffic grids day after day and never once had some "bucking" issue until the other day when it was approaching 100 degrees. i'm sure some people are at fault but i do know that in this scenario my car is at fault. this thing does not like traffic and hot days! but i lover her

I can speak only of my experiences but we have pretty hot summers in most parts of Australia. My driving technique is the same all year around but I find that stop/go traffic in summer in particular causes (used to cause) heat soak in my car and consequently bucking. In winter it was never a problem.

I acknowledge that there are numerous factors contributing to 'bucking' and I believe that this car needs a little more revs than you would need on others (xviper have already covered this in one of his posts so I won't go into the reasons why again) to pull away smoothly from a stop regardless of temperature.

The one thing that helped substantially reduce the heat problem (in summer) for me was fitting a snorkle type air intake extension that takes air from out IN FRONT of the radiator.

At any rate, please stop telling people to 'adjust their driving style' because all that's going to happen is MOST people are just going to cause excess wear and tear on their clutch trying to do what you are telling them to do. I, personally, have done the 'push in the clutch and re-engage' many times when my car used to do the bucking, but why bother having to keep doing that all the time when there is a free fix that takes 10 seconds to do? Why should anybody have to deal with the hassle of this problem??
Try taking the slop out of your throttle cable. The bucking issue seems to be reduced or eliminated when the throttle cable is adjusted.

Adjusting the throttle cable worked for me.
