Koni with Ground Control springs are an option. You can get the whole coilover preassembled , with your chosen spring rates.

i understand your point, but i wouldnt say Bilstein is a crappy brand that didnt do any R&D on the car. my (failing) logic was there are many satisfied PSS9 customers, so going with the PSS was a safe choice. im not just trying to justify my purchase, but they are an improvement over the stock system - just not exactly what i had in mind
I'm not saying that Bilstein is a crappy brand either. I just know for a fact that companies like J's and T1R actually have an S2000 to develop there products on. They are highly specialized in the products they sell either exclusively for the S2000 or Honda/Acura. A company like Bilstein makes shocks, springs, coilovers for hundreds of cars. They are a mass market company. Nothing wrong with mass market companies, but the S2000 was not created for the masses

The problem (if it is a problem) with the Bilstein PSS coilovers is that they are not adjustable...thus if the ride seems too soft or firm, you're stuck with it. The PSS9's are adjustable. I just installed the PSS9's on my car and they seem to work well though I still have to play around with them a bit and get my car realigned. Consider Koni shocks as well...they are adjustable and can be combined with a number of aftermarket springs.

correct me if i'm wrong, but i just wanted to chime in for a second. just because a suspension feels softer doesn't necessarily mean that handling has been degraded. for example, the evo MR has a bilstein suspension setup which actually rides softer than the regular evo, yet mitsubishi's engineers claim that the handling is improved. i'm no suspension expert, but i'd think that even the non damping adjustable pss system dialed in at the recommended height settings should perform relatively well.

What is the recommended spring rates on the T1R coilovers?
My use will mainly be street with the rare track session.
Winter driving too so the al. will be welcomed not to rust.
