Default Bugs with top down?!

Guys, I have never experienced any bugs coming into the cabin with the top down. Tonight however, I was mugged. Given I travel the route alot at nite with the top down, I wasnt expecting this many bugs to fly in. Not only were they "creepy" they were distracting as hell. Ive never had this problem before, I was wondering if this has happened to anyone of you, and what did you to do stop it?

Note: There was no way I was putting my top up on such a beautiful nite.

i once had a bug hide in my air vent for like 3 days, i was so worried that it would start laying eggs and it would all be over for me.

We drove top-down from Galena to Hanover Park late one night (Rt.20 the entire way, it was hot and muggy, perfect bug weather ) and while the car was heavily splatted with bugs all over the front and windshield, we didn't have a single bug enter the cockpit. I think what you experienced is rather unusual, the air flow over the car will usually cause bugs (and rain) to not fall into the interior.

I've had a bird fly through the cockpit last month. That was startling!

Yea, actually i drove from Hoffman Estates to Roundlake, and as i was passing thru barrington at least 4 bugs were in and out of the cockpit within 20 mins. I wasnt going that fast when they entered maybe 30 to 35ish, but again this has never happened before, i was just curious as to why then and there.
