Build/Arrival Dates: Recent VIN data
I think some of this data may be wrong.... Some of these build dates may be in fact ship dates. For example VIN # 5938 (not to single anyone here out, just using as an example ONLY) has a build date of May 24 and arrived in TX on June 13, exactly 20 days for the production process. That is highly unlikely for Honda to build and ship the car in less than 3 weeks. It would take that time or more to just cross the Pacific Ocean in a cargo ship, let alone build AND ship it.
I think, in this case, the build date was much earlier, perhaps two weeks earlier and that May 24 was the ship date. Every dealer that I have spoken to informed me that it usually takes anywhere from 4 to 6 weeks from the Build Date to Arrival, even 8 weeks in some cases.
Secret AP1, maybe you can call the dealer in TX and have them cross check their info? I think this will give some all of us further insight.
Then until, more
for me! Cheers!

This was infact my original thought as well. There is a big gap in the build date of my car and the cars before before me. Where do the dealers acquire the build date?
At first I was saying the inbound report that the dealer gets has two dates listed for every car. For some cars, the 2nd date is not listed. My thoughts were one of them is the date it is shipped from Japan, and the other is the date it arrived on the US coast. This would make sense since it is somewhat useless to tell every dealer the build date of a car and not the ship date. However, a lot of other people having been telling me otherwise. I don't think the dealer gets the build date from inbound report. Maybe it's birth certificate or something.

The inbound or allocation/inventory report shows two dates... an assignment date and a ship date. The build date isn't shown. As them to look at the stickers on the car itself for the build date. It should have it there.
Maybe you could check the build date (on window sticker) and verify the build date,,,,it would be great to know.....so that we are waiting would have anotther idea of when we can post our arrival....thanks
oh by the way....enjoy and I guess I would be the next to report arrival...the chart at the start of this heading has now reported the arrival of all the cars.....#6482 is my number......I am in the midwest...Missouri,,,,so stay tuned for my news
Today's Tuesday and the day that the dealers get updated allocation lists. My dealer didn't have anything new for me this week. Just the date of June 3rd, which he doesn't know what it signifies. He did mention something about calling the port for information if he doesn't get anything new by next week. I'll keep you guys updated if I find out any information.
