I installed my front lic. plate w/ a frame 2 months ago. This last weekend I waxed my car and took the plate off. I discover the metal bracket (inside the bumper) the bolt screws into has pulled forward and put a dimple in the plastic bumper. I guess the bolt was too tight. I also have a wear mark from the frame.
I could move my plate to the grill to avoid further abuse to the bumper. I've ordered the plugs, hopefully they will cover the dimple but I know I'll still have to look at the wear mark. Or I could cover the mess w/ Rick's plate holder. Should I even try to go to the dealer to complain about the dimple? It does seem odd the bracket so easily pulled forward and damaged the bumper. It isn't like the bolt was so tight it bent the flimsy lic. plate.
