Default Bumper/Headlight Fitment/Alignment Problems

I had my headlights cleared about 2 weeks ago at Generation One Motorsports, and I noticed about a week later that the front bumper and headlights didn't seem aligned properly. Now keep in mind, my type-C personality keeps me from sleeping at night over the smallest little details that are outside of "perfection". So with that in mind, the problem is very minor, but at the same time I can easily point it out to anyone and they'll agree that something is off.

What's most noticeable (by feel) is that one of the headlights is more recessed into the bumper and fender than the other.

I took the bumper and headlights out myself last night, to see if I could rectify the problem (thinking maybe the originally installer reinstalled it improperly). But after much adjusting and fidgeting, the end result was the same.

I know a lot of you guys recently cleared out your own headlights. Have any of you experienced similar issues?

And who knows, it could have been like this before I took it to get it cleared (never checked beforehand). Anyone have these issues straight from the factory?

Thanks.

I had body work done with the car. You will never have them right again. I tried. The Alignment can only be perfected in production with lazer guided computer operated machines

Wonderful I guess I'll have to go buy a bunch of new mods to make me feel better

Anyway, I worked on the car again last night... it's MUCH better now..... thanks for the info though nastinupe.

I just replaced the drivers side headlight and I can't seem to get the nice tight gap fit the passenger side has...the tip of the headlight sticks out and the top is reassessed more than the passenger side. I've tried to move the headlight around, but it seems like it just wants the one position....any idea how to wiggle is light a little for a better fit?

I never remove the headlights when I sand and re-polish them. I applied a film (Xpel) to prevent future clouding. I am careful to tape around the headlights to prevent paint damage from my DA polisher.

I had to replace my drivers side headlight...I'm trying to get the same fitment gap around this new headlight to match the passenger side....The headlight doesn't seem to have any adjustment play.to move it around.
I don't remove my headlights to polish and clean them.
