I did a launch at 7k rpm...The RPM bounced off the Rev Limiter for a sec...Afterwards I start to smell a really strong burning clutch odor . Did it burnt just the clutch or also the pressure plate and flywheel, that's my question. Is my clutch and flywheel just wore down more or it's kinda wasted? Now I know always to side step it, instead of trying to lift as quickly as possible.

Thanks

I think you should be dumping it... don't try to slip it at 7000rpm, not going to work.

In short you just reduced the life of your clutch....how much is relative. You need to drop the clutch if your intent is to smoke the tires....which is what will happen at 7K. The object is to break the tires loose when you lock up the clutch...if the tires don't spin...the clutch will. The face will turn to glass and.....well enough said!
