Well, for best resaults get about 7.5k RPM, and dump it, is a bit hard on car though. IMO you can get a good launch and minimal wear and tear with 3-5k RPM and let clutch out agressively and with a little slipage. Hope this helps

NO!!!!

You never wanna let the clutch out "aggressively" @3-5K. Your clutch would slip and you are burning your clutch!

Just dump the clutch and let the wheels spin.

OK, when i say dump, i mean side steping the clutch, agressive to me is out fast, and i needed to clarify by slipage i ment tires not clutch.

I was attempting 7k clutch dropping and it seemed to work pretty well.... anything in the 5k range just boggs.... anything too high and you spin like crazy (depending on surface and tires).

either way, to go fast you have to be fairly abusive....

My typical launch is:
1) put the tip of my toe on the clutch and push it in
2) rev to 7500rpm
3) step on the clutch even harder so my toe slips off and the clutch pops straight up
4) enjoy te ride

I don't think it's the same as sidestepping the clutch, but my treadmarks speak to its effetiveness.

I have found that a 75000 rpm launch has neted my best times.
My 2 cents

Um, 75,000 rpm launch??!? I bet you DO get your best times with that....right up to when your engine block lifts out of the hood and your clutch explodes into a billion pieces.

I agree...7,500 seems to do pretty nicely. A little more and you spin too much, a little less and you bog.
