Burnt clutch smell
i raced my friend's G35 yesterday twice, first time was from a roll, forgot how fast but i was in third, i beat him by 4 cars (he told me that when he shifted he lost traction so he let off and floored it again), then second time was from a complete stop, i launched at 5500 and dropped the clutch, instead of my tires spinning, the rpm just jumpedd up to redline, i let off a little and shift to second at around 32mph, same thing happens, right after that i shift in 3rd just to see if the clutch would grab, and same thing happend,
i'm pretty sure im gonna need a new clutch, my question is, is it normal for the clutch to start doing this after 45000 miles???
is it bad if i still smell my clutch after a day???
whats a good clutch for for MY04, (track, street driving)

Search: slave cylinder or clutch delay valve
Once you glazed your clutch you should have not done it again because it will not grab until it has time to cool off. Most likely if you take it easy for a day it will be fine.
Do the search and don't slip the clutch.

he already has the cdv removed...
I also would wait till the next day. A good trick to find out if your clutch is going is to try to start from a stop in something like 3rd or 4th gear. Normally thats pretty hard on a good clutch and will require either A LOT of slipping that will really heat it up (not what you want to do, you want to try to go as normal). Or you'll stall the engine, stalling in this case would be good, because that means your clutch is grabbing.
Another method to test it would be to be cruising at 5k rpm in 2nd gear and then just stomp on it. If the clutch start slipping again...then its probably going bad. If not, you probably just overheated it.
And no, its not normal at 45k miles

i just talked to my friend today to get some prices on clutch and fly combo, also talked to my tech about installing it and he said he'll do it for $250, here's what i narrowed it down to:
Toda clutch kit (clutch+flywheel blueprinted) or
exedy dual plate clutch kit (clutch+fly)
i know everybody here is gonna tell me i don't need all this, so just wanna let everybody know, this is just what i want, please don't ask why..
and if anyone could lead me to some reviews about the exedy i would really appriciate it
