Default Buy the '01 and save $2000 or get the '02?

I need your advice. Let's say I can buy a new '01 for X amount of dollars or an '02 for X + $2000, do you think it is worth paying the extra $2000 for the '02? What really matters to me is the glass rear window but is it $2000 better than the plastic? I have until tomorrow (the end of the month) to decide. I am working with two dealers and I have to buy tomorrow if I want the '01. What do you think I should do?

Keep this in mind: The '01 has already taken a hit on it's depreciation, so it's value is somewhat less than whatever mount you pay for it. The '02 represents the ultimate S2000 in that it has not only the new glass rear window, but also improved transmission and sound system. If it were me, I'd go for the '02 model.

definitely hold out for the '02... numerous improvements, more than $2000 worth in my opinion.

Huh? The dealers are packed on Sundays! Where are you that they can actually afford NOt to be open on a weekend day?

$2000 for a new back glass window, "improved radio", revised tranny, and a vinyl center console cover. And one year less depreciation. If you need the new stuff and want to sell the car in 4-5 years, get the 02. I'm perfectly happy with my 00, but then again, its already mine. Good luck! Either way, you'll drive away

I would have to agree with the rest of the folks here! Wait for the '02! They have already listed numerous improvements plus the depreciation factor. . .

For $2,000. . .I would just wait! I see that you posted that if you buy now before the end of the month, you'll save two grand. What are they asking for the car? Sticker minus the two grand or is that just off some mark up?
