you can buy a decent DD for like $5k or less...

you can use the rest of the money for your AP1?

loan sucks, plus if you track your AP1... and something goes wrong, you have a DD while you fix it.

especially if your AP1 is in that "perfect condition" as you put it.

im probably repeated what someone has said, but certainly if you are going to trade in the ap1, you should convert as close to stock as possible......dealers do not like modifications on trade ins....i saw a track ready s2000 in houston on craigslist for about 6 months that was vortech supercharged and decked out completely for track, for sale down to 11k....i would have loved to pick it up too. but you wont get near as much, plus you can just sell everything here =)

How about a 06 ap2? I wouldn't have to have a loan on that then I could save up for a dd?

its all about what you wanna do man, if you find an ap2 or ap1 that you are comfortable with as a replacement and has lower miles i would be all over it!
i just love these cars...

as an added bonus you could get the hondata reflash for an 06 too

I race str. Which isn't stripping it and everything but we do run stiff shocks and 70a bushing motor mounts
If I were building the best str S2000 possible with an unlimited budget I would start with a delete model cr (and I'm not just dating that because I want you to buy my car). It can get to ap1 weight but has ap2 power and torque and will respond well to power mods with hondata.
