Buy an S2000 with a Few Track Days On It?
I'm curently looking at an '04 S2000 w/46k miles. The car looks to be in excellent condition with alot of nice added features. It has been owned by a very knowlegdable S2000 owner who does most of his own service work. The car has been driven/raced a handful of time during track days.
In your opinion how tough are a few track days on lower mileage well maintained S2000?
Thanks!

I would absolutely buy an s2000 that has been tracked. HPDE's put minimal wear on the car. More important things to think about are overall maintenance of the car.

I wouldn't have a problem buying it at all.

It's all dependent on the upkeep and maintenance of the car. More often the cars that are track driven, are maintained at a much higher level, and therefor also more appealing to me.

Thanks for your replies! I'm going to look at the car tonight.
s2k-tilldeath - one of the nice added features is a diff with the PUDDYMOD. Should be good to go in that area.

Puddy Mod diff put a lot of fears to rest, but a few mechanical over-revs via missed shifts scares me, also synchro wear? I would do it for THIS case, but not many others

Likely the owner took better care of the car with less abuse than half the drivers around here who cannot figure out how to read the oil level. Honest sellers typically make for better buys.
BTW people, diffs aren't ruined by high RPM driving, they're ruined by morons launching their cars improperly IE no wheel spin. Highly doubt this person did this.
