Default Buying a car in Canada and importing to US

I live in Northern California and found a car that fits what I'm looking for. Problem is it's in Montreal, Quebec - 3000 miles away. Should I just be patient and wait for something more local to pop up? Or should I embark on a crazy journey?

Or you could just take a gamble and have it shipped to you.

I thought about that as an option. If I got a PPI I would feel (more) comfortable buying it sight unseen. But what about the paperwork? I assume there will be "some".

Aren't there more S2000s in California than any other state? How can you not find something closer to you?

Importing a car from CAN seems like a ton of work when you have plenty of opportunities in the USA.

One could also say there are more beat up S2000s in California than any other state. It seems there are either super-clean and thus expensive GPWs, or cheap and beat up. I'll take a deep breath and try to be patient.

What car are we talking about?
Canada seems like a mission, I would just wait.
I live in Socal and most of the s2000's here for sale are all raped and beat.lol
I'm currently looking for a 06+ GPW or BB with under 40k miles pristine condition and it's hard.
Just expand your search outside of California..maybe like Texas,Arizona,Oregon..etc.
