Why bother? There were more cars sold in the US than any other country. If there isn't one here worth buying... you guy to re-think your criteria.

I was in the same boat, took 6 months to find mine. Looked at an 05 Rio that shifted bad and it had 28,000 miles on it. Ended up drivng 80 miles away to get mine. And was this close to driving to Reno to get an 06, but the guy sold it before I could get it. Kicking my self now, I should have gotten an '06.

Appreciate the advice everyone. I think the message is that I need to be patient, though it's hard to when values are going up and good condition cars are getting rarer.

And it turns out the S2000 in Montreal has a salvage title. Boo-urns.

If you have ever seen how they drive in Montreal, you may change your mind.
I was driving 140kph (85 mph) and a school bus started passing me.
Every one runs flat out, all of the time.
Most people in Montreal are looking for cars in California, not the other way around.

I just did a S2000 search for 500 miles from my house in Fla and 102 popped up!!! Do a nationwide search if GPW is the color. 23 popped up nationwide on Autotrader. Florida is the spot for clean S2000's. Most houses out here in decent neighborhoods have 2 car garages. Shit, my next door neighbors house has a attached 3 car garage.

This.
It's funny when you drive in America people think 85mph is fast.

I'm not sure everyone in QC is driving the shit out of their car but a California car is the better buy.

It's not worth it in my opinion. It's funny because it is usually us Canadians who have to outsource s2000s from the States. I had to wait a long time to find mine and my car is actually originally from California =P. Also, it is well known that S2000s in Canada cost significantly more than their U.S. counterpart. The States has the biggest market for the S2000, be patient and the right one will come around, and it will be forever glorious when you purchase it.
