Default buying a dealer demo?

a dealer by me has a demo 02 for a couple grand under sticker. I'm wondering if any of you have bought dealer demos and if i should be wary of it? I'm sure they are driven pretty hard and not broken in properly. Is the risk worth a couple grand?

Not for me. I had a buddy who took a new blue S2k out for a test drive. It started the day with 20 miles on the clock. He was zinging it to redline and taking corners at 90 mph (no fooling). I would not want that car!

BTW, it was his rants and raves about the S2k that got me looking at it.

Personally I wouldn't, though I bought a used one...

Tell the dealer to throw in an extended warranty too.

i would spend the extra money to know that you were able to break it in properly...
buy a new one, imo
you just know that the dealer cars have been driven hard and hung up wet!

It depends on what kind of demo it is.
I bought a demo. The owner of the dealership drove it. It was not driven by potential buyers. I didn't even test drive it! It was parked in the showroom.
My S dosen't burn oil (so far). I've had some of the TSB's done and I have had no major problems with it (so far)(27,000miles).

what ever you decide good luck
