Hi,

I've spent the better part of the last week combing through the archives finding out everything about the s2000 and I'm ready to buy.

I've located a couple of cars here locally - MY02,MY01,MY00... - some from Honda Used Dealerships, Some from & a couple located on AutoTrader. Been watching eb*y too....

A little OT: What first strikes me is the amount ALL new cars have dropped in the last 4-6 months...

So here's the deals I'm seeing:

MY01 Certified from Honda: asking $25,300 22k mileage
MY02 : asking $26,900 4k mileage
MY00 Used Dealer : asking $23,900 23k mileage

Would you please comment about the value of these deals? I've gotten ALL pricing guides (+ consumer reports pricing service) for all of these cars, but prices seem to be a bit all over...I'm trying to get a handle on the market...FYI I'm in Texas

TIA,
arvan

If you can go a few bucks more they are selling new MY03 in Dallas for MSRP or less.

Hi msn2k,

I've noted that, but being the chinch that I am I'd rather not take the drive-off-the-lot hit. Have you seen a lot of low mileage MY02's going for 27k? Do you think that is a good value? or is value lower considering the MY03's?

Thanks!

I thought that you wanted to buy a bunch of Honda Insights. I was about to say nooooo. Get the MY02 and try to talk them down another $1000.

Throw down a few more G's and buy new... avoid used cars.

Depends on your money situation as well as preference for color/interior. For example, I'm set on a white/red int. combo which isn't offered as an '03 unfortunately...so I'm pretty much in a spot where I have to buy used.

There have been a number of them in the mid 20's in the Sunday paper. As previously mentioned I would, if possible, go for a new 03 and not take the chance on a used one. Just my $.02

I tend to agree with the new route. You can get them for around 30k and they will come with the full warranty and the peace of mind that no one else abused the car.

Wow - I haven't seen any low mileage MY02's in the mid-20s in the last month....which paper are you looking at? I'm obviously in the wrong place.....

TIA,
