both of those choices are garbage
LOL

16k will get you a mint AP2 with less than 60k miles. Just wait for the right deal. Don't be hasty, you're gonna have to live with this car for a while. Might as well get something without regret

AP1 for 15k is a joke

for reference, I got my '05 with 34k for 16.5

Some of the best advice in this thread.

I waited a year to find my perfect car.
Don't be impatient, if you wait, you will find the perfect car.

where i live (bay area, Ca) all ap2's are 18k. I am only trying to get it from a dealer not a private owner.

why do you only want it from a dealer?

Unless they're offering warranty thrown it, I don't understand why you would. I would never get a used car from a dealership, only new

The only reason people get used cars from dealerships is because they don't know how to inspect cars before buying ("certified" pre-owned, which doesn't even really mean anything)

You shouldn't of sold your car until I got another one. But you're in a bad position right now. I would borrow someone's car for work until you can find a good S. BTW: I got my 2006 40K for 17,750 tax included at the dealer.

i had to go back up and look at the date of the original post to make sure that this thread wasn't dug up from the grave...

13.8k for an 04 w/ 107k miles?! i guess for a dealer price that's fair but for that price you should be able to get one with a lot less miles. take a look at the classifieds here, you'll see many choices. but of course if you're the type to only buy from a dealer that's <30 minutes from your house then i guess you really have no choice. i'd say try to be as flexible as you can, buy it from somewhere far if you have to.

i'd pass on both too. be patient, something better will eventually come up.

... oh and as someone stated, before you think of buying that ap1, check the front end. that bumper has been repainted, maybe a front end collision?

Both prices seem high.

you've basically put yourself in a bad position. Now you're in a rush to buy a car without a seller rushing you. Try to get a mechanic to check out cars from a private seller. You'll get a better deal than from a dealer.
