Buying S2000: Blue, Yellow, or Silver?
Alright, so I just went to two different dealerships and checked out the yellow and the blue S2000...again. Here are my current impressions:
First is the yellow one. It is a stunning color. I really can't find another word. It's not subtle in ANY way. I think it really shows off the lines of the car well and I'm amazed at how "complex" the color looks. I must admit that the first time I saw it I didn't realize that it was metallic. I think the black interior is stark...but very fitting with the exterior. This is definitely a color for someone that wants to be noticed. My issue is that I'm not sure that's a good thing. I already drive a wee on the fast side and I'm not sure being NOTICED is such a good thing.
Now the blue. From the moment I saw the exterior the first time this past Saturday I thought it was a gorgeous color. It, too, shows off the cars lines very well, but it also is a more involved color...moodier...classier. My issue is the interior. I used to own a blue 86 Honda Accord with a blue interior and I loved that car. I'm just not sure if I love the blue interior or not. I do have to say, though, that I wandered around and sat in the car for about 20 minutes and it isn't nearly as "weird" as my initial impression.
I know that color is an intensely personal choice, and I've been searching old threads on the topic for quite some time. I guess I'm just trying to decide what I really want from this car...which will determine the color.
The blue is sexy and a little more subtle...the yellow is HOT...I just haven't made the decision which is right for me.

if you guys can wait a bit, the monte carlo blue is due to be out for the MY2003. I heard this through the grapevine from the VP of Honda in the US. Well, actually i heard this from someone who heard this from someone who talked to the VP. i don't know how much this is worth to you all...
i'm thinkin the markup on the MC Blue is going to be high and be held strong tho. a lot of people want that color.
my $.02

I'm also trying to decide what color to get, Spa Yellow or Silverstone if it comes back for MY2003. If only Sebring Silver is offered next year, I'll go with Spa Yellow. I know is attracts a lot of attention but that is one of the reasons I like it. Have to see what new color (Monte Carlo Blue) might come MY2003 also.
