Buying S2000: Blue, Yellow, or Silver?
rstark,
That's normally advice that I would take. Hell, if this was going to be a second car...just a toy...I would get the yellow hands down. It screams for attention from others the same way that driving it screams at the driver for attention.
However, this is not just a toy for me. It's going to be my only car. That said, I still want something that people will look at and WOW over, but I need to err on the side of restraint so I don't go getting the attention of the local constabulary as often.
After MUCH deliberation, I'm going with what I think is a gorgeous, classic car...Suzuka Blue.
Now the only pesky problem is waiting for my severance checks to get here so I can get the downpayment together...

The blue gets attention, that is true. However, it's a little more subtle than the yellow. Also, the more I thought about it, the more sentimental I was for the blue.
When I was in my 3rd year of college, I had an 86 Accord hatchback. It was blue with a blue interior. I LOVED that car and would still own it today if...it hadn't been stolen and totalled when I drove it to Portland for Spring Break. I was driving back from a dealer today after seeing the blue and it clicked...it's my baby reincarnated! I know...corny...but that's how I feel.
As for the yellow...true, it is a pearl. However, to split hairs further (this is fun), the pearl paint is technically a metallic...
