Buying an S2000 from Hardtop Guy - car advice?
Can anyone here talk about their buying experiences with Hardtop Guy? I am getting an S2000 in the next few days somewhere, but haven't settle on any one dealership yet, and wonder what he's like and what kind of deals you can get.
Right now I am looking at 30k for an 05 as my best offer (31k with all fees added), and another dealer that wants 33 but will give free tires for life as long as I have the car maintained at their dealership.
How do these deals sound to you folks? Do you have any other feedback for me, or si there anything I should know about when buying an S2000?
Thanks!

While I did not get my car new from HardTopGuy, I CAN tell you that Jeff and Joe are two of the nicest guys and will bend over backwards to help us out. I have purchased parts from them numerous times.
If you are in the Eastern part of the country.....go to them.
If in the West, go to Matt Piercy @ Honda World. Same goes for him.
BTW, that free tires for life is pretty interesting considering it is $800+ per set of tires. On the other hand, dealer pricing on maintenance is over-market priced....so you have to weigh that.
Best of luck.

Be careful on "free tires for life" - I've heard of these offers before. Usually they have some sort of limitation to one set every two years, or a mileage minimum...
As for Jeff/Hardtopguy... awesome person. One of the greatest members of the community. I wouldn't hesitate to buy a car from him.

You can't go wrong with that choice regardless of price (and his are pretty good). Top drawer. Can't think of a better place to buy an S2000. Blair Morrow at Elk Grove Honda is another long-time member and S2000 fanatic. I'd buy from him too. He makes a mean BBQ.
Other advice: Skip the frills and pass on the extended warranty. Mine turned out to be worthless. Accessories can be purchased after the sale for the same or less than you can get them at the dealer for. Buy the base car, no options, no goodies and arrange your own financing, a local credit union will give you the best rates and best experience. Your goal is to get out the door with a set of keys and nothing more. There are no factory options so it's pretty simple:
"I'll take one S2000 please and hold the mayo".
Good luck.
