Buying S2k
I'm in the market for a stock 00-02 S2k. Is there anything in particular I should look for before I purchase the car, aside tire wear, brake wear, clutch ect ect?
Also, were there any call backs/service actions that I should make sure were done?
Are there any problems associated with one year compared to another? Was one year a bit quicker than another? (aside the different motors; 2.0 vs. 2.2)
Any input would be great.
Thanks in advance,
Dan

You need a lot of information to make a judgement on.
You'd be better served by doing a search.
You need to get the whole story and you might find that few if any are willing to type all day and night to give you all the information you deserve yet all the information you need (for the most part) is contained within the site.
Good luck!

pretty much the biggest thing is make sure the tranny shifts well and you hear no clicks from the rear.
the "clutch buzz" is not a mechanical problem and will probably show up on just about every S2000 during its lifetime. it is merely an annoyance; don't let this issue sway you. it is merely the clutch springs vibrating.

def get atleast a 02 and up, yeah there are some tsb on the car but nothing major except for the tranny grinding on some. But there are alot of tsb or callbacks on every car out there. If you love the 2 seat and convetible get a s2k I love my04.
