Hey, guys I am going to look at an 00 s2k with 28k miles. I know i should look for Curb rash,Oil levels/leaks, 1-2 shift grind, Brake fluid. Is there anything eles I should look for?
Also is a compression test needed since it only has 28k miles?

you should check for clutch buzz as well.
there was a TSB on it but if the owner haven't fix it I doubt the dealers would fix it under warranty.(if it still has warranty).
I'm pretty sure most MY00 had this issue.
the noise isn't present when the car is new but after a while it appears.
with 28,000 miles, I don't know if the car has the buzz or not yet..

 

Well i went to check out the car and it already sold! : /
So i went to Crown honda and test drove a silver s2k with 68k miles it was a 2001. It grinded a little when shifting into 2nd. Why is the little grind in 2nd a big deal, or is it a big deal?

 

I would also check the soft top real good. I bought mine and it looked good at first.

Yea im not buying the car there. GET THIS they have a 2001 s2k for 17,999. The car has 68,000 miles and a SMALL rip which will get bigger on the top. There is also a slight grind in 2nd. The guy lowered his price to 16,999 and says im getting a deal.
