Hi Guys,

I'm planning to buy an S in a couple of weeks, since you guys all own or know S2K well, are there any particular problems I should know about?

Anything spefic I shuld look out for that may be common problems?

Any information would be appriecated.

A search would be more appropriate..but laziness affect us all...

There are really no major problems...some people complain about gear grinding and some about the stereo not being loud enough at higher speeds and still some complain about a clunking sound from the rear..all of which can be read about when you search...in any case we have not had any problems with our big bad yellow S2K....good luck...

 

You didn't say whether you were contemplating a new or used S2000. If new, check the FAQ section of the website for car prep and acceptance items. I don't know whether or not I would buy a used S from a dealer since you really do not know how the car was used (abuse or neglect can really degrade this car in a hurry). If you buy directly from a private party you'll know on the first visit if the car was properly cared for. If the owner is slightly anal, the car was probably well cared for.

 

I've had my S for a little over a month now. Bought used and the only problems were:
Radio - replaced with MP3 player
Leaky Roof - need to have Honda check it out

Overall, I'm very impressed and plan to purchase another when I get back to the U.S. (as a replacement).
