Buying a used hardtop
I found a used hardtop that someone was willing to sell to me. He quoted me 2300 for the hardtop with all the hardware for the install but without defroster kit, he even offered to install it for me. This is for a MY01. Is this a reasonable price and how much would it cost me to get a defroster kit? I am going to go look at the hardtop some time soon, does anyone have any suggestions on anything I should be looking out for to make sure I am getting a good deal? Any suggestion would be appreciated.

definately worth it .....
when u think about it
2500 for the new hardtop before SH(hardtopguy)
and then another 500-600 for the hardware ( u need at least 500 for the hardware since u have 2001)and he will even install it for u
those defroster kit u can always get it seperately and put it on later
not a problem at all
those hardtops are back ordered from honda
high demands and not enough supply
i would pay 2300 for it
what color is the HT??? if it is black u r definately getting a deal saving 300 on the paint

Seems high to me. Most used HT's I've seen have gone for $1500-1800. The install is easy and takes about two hours to do yourself, carefully.
A new one should run ~$2500 from hardtopguy WITH hardware. Although they may be tough to find right now.

I paid around $1,750 for a pristine Sebring silver that included the hardware kit, although I don't know what additional wiring is required for the rear window defrost. I received a new defrost switch with my hardtop install kit and already have one in my MY05. PM me if you need one. I think the OEM hardtop enhances the look of the S2K and it quiets the ride and provides better rear window visibility.
