2500 W/hardware??
they only sell the hardtop for 2500 not including the hardware
go check on their website and i agree where is the HT for 1500?
Look at hardtopguy.com. His price on a hardtop (I'm not mentioning availibility as I have no idea what it is) is $2500. That includes the installation hardware such as the side catchers and standard wiring. Additional install kits, if necessary, run another ~$200, but vary by model year and even color. Its completely conceivable that you could purchase a used hardtop and then have to turn around and purchase an install kit for it.

But that isn't the "hardware" that is usually referred to in a used hardtop purchase. Many people sell their hardtops without the normally included side catchers and other standard issue wiring because they don't feel like taking it out of their car. These are the parts I was considering "hardware" and they run in the realm of $500-800 to replace, in addition to the cost of any necessary install kit for your MY s2000.

If you want a $1500 hardtop, then scour the used market. Here, ebay, other forums, etc. I've seen many of them at that price. Yes, they usually sell quickly. Perhaps I mis-spoke by stating that "most" sell in this range, but I've seen enough in that price range that I wouldn't be willing to pay much more. It's also been a while since I've shopped for one, though, and I know that supply is more limited now than in the past because the new ones are harder to find.

Are there any problems with hardtops that have been used a while that I should be looking for, and if there are, are these problems easily fixed?
