I know hardtopguy sells a kit for 500.00, but do i really need all that? I did some searches and saw that you don't need the whole kit.

Hardtopguy will tell you what you need for the year you own. 02's & up sdon't need as much as the 00 & 01.

 

Why don't you take the kit off the owner you're purchasing it from?

 

If you can get the kit, this will save you $500. Then you can buy the HT used from a private party or new from HT-Guy or maybe others (I don't know).
I just bought the kit from HTG with the understanding that the kit will be removed from the HT pkg. and the $500 will be deducted when I buy the hardtop.

 

hes not selling it with installation kit?

 

ask him if he even has the installation kit. if he does, i dont see why he wouldnt sell it. maybe he's lazy to remove it.
