Default buzzing when decelerating

when i am in 2nd or 3rd gear and i am decelerating i get this buzzing/ringing noise that sounds like its comming from the engine, the RPMs are around from 5k-3k. I gave it to the dealer and they said dont worry this is normal??!! the thing is i have never had this annoying sound before and after i have been driving the car for a while it gets pretty loud does anyone have any idea what it is? i have MY2000 s2000 and when i gave the car to the dealer they said they made sure it was not anything the TSBs say to fix. what in the world is this noise

It's the clutch. See the TSB #054 here: https://www.s2ki.com/library/service/buzzin...nfromengine.php

Then you should find a different dealer to take it to. Print a copy of the TSB.

I had this a while back and it was fixed under warranty. My dealer had to speak with Honda about it and they did two cars at the same time.

Like the guys say - change dealer!

I do sometimes get a little bit of buzzing, it apparently is pretty loud when it happens. Some of the guys on the UK board may be able to help as they have had the fix done recently.

If your "buzzing" sounds like marbles in a coffee cup then it's probably the clutch problem
from TSB #54. I have that too in my 2001 S2000, and the first time I heard it, I took it into
the dealer and they said it was "normal"... I'm gonna take it in for TSB #54 to get it fixed,
(bring a copy of the TSB) but I think I wanna wait a few more thousand miles before
getting a new clutch free.
