Hi tripleblack,
I'm curious what made you trade your M Roadster for an S2000...what year did you have, and how do you compare the two? I've never driven the M Roadster but think it's a wicked ride...welcome to 9000 rpm!

JFY - it's not just you! This is my reply to S2kpower post in Bay Area forum:
No offence man, but you are changing sports car for truck... Having both s2000 and 3'r bimmer (330iCi w/sport package and all whistle and bells) and driven M3 (it's not that big difference compared to my 330 riding-wise) I have to tell you - you will miss that tight razor edge handling of s2k every fxxxing day. Generally said for twice as much money you are getting twice as much space, twice as much torque and twice as much weight...
I can't help myself but everytime I must drive my wife's bimmer I feel like in the truck having sooo much space around me I feel lost and having soooo much weight around me I feel ... like in the truck (my wife hates me everytime I say it, one must be careful in order to keep some privileges:-). M3 would not change it since the interior is identical... You must have very good reason to do this, I hope it has nothing to do with stupid things like 'prestige' etc.
I must say the next big thing for me would be either 360 or L140. BUT here in the Bay Area it seems to me a waste of money. Then the next big thing would be new viper SRT which is not going to happen since they are sold out. And Viper is a big cat anyway.
So the really next big thing and dream would be torque 3.0 and SMG in our S2k. Wouldn't that be awesome?
Or perhaps just SMG? Pleeease.....

BMW does make a convertible M3. It may take longer to take up and down, but I assure you that the top is a lot better than the one we have.
