Default A/C not as cold as it used to be

I feel that my A/C in the s2k isnt as cold as it used to be... or maybe A/Cs are weak in general for the s2k? I've only had the car for 5 months now and it seems as if my A/C can't blast cold air anymore.

when the AC is on, it sorta makes a huge sucking noise at times (perhaps its my KN FIPK not sure).

my MPG has been dipping too, is this indicative of any problems? the car is 05 and only has 12k miles.

My AC is pretty strong (gets cold), but I very rarely use it.

You probably just need freon (dont know the spelling) because it is getting low. To make it cold again you will need to recharge it (refill). It sounds easy, but is actually expensive (for what they are doing)

the better question is why is it low on freon in the first place, it's a sealed system to begin with, unless you have a malfunction or broken link in the system the freon shouldn't just "gone" or "get used up"

take it to the pro, you can overcharge and burnt the compressor if you have no idea what you doing.

Go repump the AC. It's like $50-$70.

Worried about global warming? Carbondioxide is the number one green house gas? Well, humans exhale Carbondioxide. So if you want to aid in the solution for global warming, plant a tree and then drop dead!

Couldnt resist.

Nah but seriously Refrigerant(freon) doesnt just get used up there is a leak somewhere in your system. If in fact you are low on refrigerant.
If thats not the case then DEF look at your cabin filter if its plugged solid your evap coil is freezing up due to lack of air and not producing cool air inside your car.
