25 is when the big drop happens. There are a couple of decent drops when you're 19 and 21 though.

That of course depends on if your record is clean or not.

Wait till you get married, an even bigger drop! Let your wife be the primary on the "good" car and you be secondary on the "junker".

I went through the same thing over the Vette. Runflat tires are very expensive. Not only that but I've been told to expect 15mpg around town in the Vette. The worst mileage I've had with my S2000 is 21mpg. I also was looking at a used Vette but the insurance was higher at the time. Lately my S2000 rates have gone up alot(no tickets).
But the main reason I bought the S2000 was the fun factor. Every time I got close to any dips in the road the Vette would scrape its front spoiler and the shifter wasn't as precise. But mainly the S2000 feels alot lighter on it's feet.

The S2k does feel lighter, yeah. But, most people say they actually get 21 mpg city and 30 mph freeway unless they are driving hard of course (in 6th gear at 75 mph your at about 1,500 rpm's). Also, the front spoiler is made to be scraped, it is on hinges and is made to bend, flex, fold, and so on, and a whole new one is 30 bucks according to vette owners. The vette does feel heavy though, but its not even THAT heavy.

Oh yeah, and the shifter, it's way to long I agree, but that can be changed, maybe not to the greatness of the S2000 shifter, but good enough for me.

Youv missed some of what I have wrote. The C5 is cheaper, and the s2k is only 4k 6 months if its on my own policy, no discounts, and no other cars. it is 800 ever 6 months with my dad as primary driver and 2,300 every 6 months with me as primary, while the s2k is over 3k every 6 months with me primary.

Yes it is still expensive, very, but thats because I am an 18 year old male driver in an C5 or S2000. I'll be 19 soon enough and maybe it will drop a little.
