Default Cabin temperature

im the new owner of the s2k, im just wondering why my cabin temperature is so high, is it because of the engine near the cabin, the heat is comming from around the bottom of the steering wheel, the heat makes me keep sweating during afternoon driving. Is this issue normal?? if not are there any ways to fix this?? thx for da help guys!!

driver faster with your top down! lol j/k

Sometimes the hot air gets trapped in the system after the car has sat for a while in the heat. So turn on your A/C for a quick second to clear it out.

You also notice that when you place your Fan Speed to OFF air will still flow through the vents. So to offset this flow of air on hot days hit the Recirculate button and the warm airflow through the vents will stop.

It also helps to put the temp setting on cold all the time(in the summer) and put the other knob on the small icon which shows the top down.

I haven't got this 'problem' at all

No idea...

Temp knob is pointing at cold?
Then the vents should give you cold air too!
I never have hot air coming from the steering column...

The cabin is a little warm especially with the hardtop on, but it is to be expected with a small car like that. Especially because it is rear wheel drive and you have the tranny sitting right under the shifter giving off heat.

In the interest of performance the S has minimal heat and sound insulation. If your GF is a babe, ride top down with the A/C on.

is your vent selector knob on the 'top down' setting? if so, it could be that the vents over the radio door are blowing ambient temperature air (i.e., warm outside air) down by your lap, making you think it's coming from the steering wheel

if it's warm out though and you're sweating, just turn on the a/c

The cabin gets hot primarily because the tranny is directly next to you, and there is little to block heat. The simple way to fit it is turn on the AC.
