CAI owners, what have you done to fill the void?

I left mine, nekkid. When I show people the engine bay now, they say: "Wow there's a lot of room in there!" The cross bar is not WELL painted, but it is painted body color from the factory. (At least mine is.)

Why not just paint it, if it bothers you?

i considered painting it, and might do so when i get my front lip painted.. but i think if i were to cover it, it'll take up some of the space down there.

I was considering the frame cover from Ricks, but I don't know if it would work with my Comptech CAI??? Maybe Rick could powdercoat it in red or something????

Since I use my open space for smuggling illegal immigrant children across the border, it might be nice to have a padded cover... hmmm.

I actually bought someone else's stock airbox and converted it into a stealth box to "hide" the CAI. I'm still working on it though as I'm not 100% happy with it. I had to cut a LOT of the box out but it hides it pretty well for a quick look. I'll try and get some pics up soon.

Ok, ok. I'll do it tonight. I'll warn you though, it's got a real homemade look to it. Hopefully it will inspire some of the uber-modifiers on the board to take the idea and run with it. I didn't do a lot of planning ahead, just cut away until I had something that fit.
