Default CAI, worth the money?

i was just wondering, are CAI, of any kind and brand or wateverz, worth the money? what do u owners think??

EDIT:
well.. im looking for a lil bit of sound improvement and performance improvement would be very nice. but not so crazy about modifying engine just yet becuz i'm just a freshman in college with no money. im thinking of going turbo or sc latterr. but is V2 the best one that most ppl would agree on? and do you guys think it was worth your money?

All depends on what you're looking for and your current situation. A good intake system should net you about 3-5 hp at the wheels (give or take). A lot of people buy them just for the sound, 3-5 hp is almost impossible to actually feel.

Don't park it out in the rain without an umbrella.

Honestly? I don't think it's worth the money unless you just want it for the bling factor or the sound. Performance gains are completely not worth it for the dollars spent.

adding a CAI is the best way to start the mod fever... u'll feel the power gain. and yes it worth the money `

the sound will be improved in the vtec and it's loud. in lower RPM, the sound will be close to stock

but there's a problem with CAI,, it might cause a hydrolock for the engine as some of the members experienced (-_-) ````

If all you are looking for is the "CAI Sound" unclip that big black square behind your radiator and drop it in the trunk. Voila, no extra HP, and no chance of hydrolock.

Happy Vtec-ing

not worth the money.

if you just want sound you can pull the lid off of the intake box but you get heat soak.
