Default California S2000

Do the 2002 S2000s in California have anything different on them than any of the other S2000s. I know for awhile in CA cars had to have some kind of special CA emissions thing.

What's the deal?

The S2000 is 50 state compliant, so there's no different version for California.

I know the gasoline made in California is unlike the other states because of the air quality control.

Thanks, for the fast replies. About CA gas. Does this affect the longevity of the engine at all?

I don't believe so, just makes the gas more expensive. Gas out here is a killer - $2.20 for premium at Costco.

The gas in CA only affects the longevity of your bank account

Crazy gas prices here in CA for sure, but in terms of hurting the engine no. THe only real difference in "CA" gas is the additive MTBE (which is supposed to lower air pollutants, but is found to pollute ground water) is banned in CA, but I believe ethanol is added instead. Plus, the highest octane we can get here is 91, while I guess a lot of other states offer better.
