I'd paint em black if anything. The reason why is cause of brake dust. If you do any serious driving, after a few months, your calipers will be blackened. The only thing that will remove the dust reliably is Brake Cleaner which will also remove the paint. I've painted my Prelude calipers blue 2 times in one year and then gave up. If you really want flashy, go with custom fronts like brembos or baer. Even a powerslot rotor with the stock calipers looks good. They are cheap.

 

I think the rustoleum comes in silver as well, but I'm not sure about other colors.

 

Yes it does come in Silver, but I bought both Rustoleum's Silver and Krylon's Aluminum. I tested them both and the silver was very dull. The Aluminum matches the wheels very well. I even painted the top hat (?) of the rotors. Looks great.

 

RedMenace, where on SeriousAuto.com? I looked all over that frickin' site and couldn't find the paint. I did find a cool speedometer error calculator, but no paint.

I used Krylon, and left my calipers on the car. Ir was rather simple actually. I masked everything up and brushed it on. 3 coats and I was impressed. Definatly take the tires off. You wouldn't want to risk painting your rim, and its not that big of a deal to jack the car up. I think I have a crappy picture round here somewhere.

Good to know that. Just don't use High temp engine paint then!

 

It took about 1/2 hour to dry between coats, then I let them get to a tacky stage, hoping a little heat would help them set. I'm not sure if the last part is warranted or not, but they have looked perfect ever since.
