Default Calling all Canadians - Is this a good buy?

It's a red '00 private sale with 28,000 kms on the odo. A For Sale sign been in the window for over 6 months (saw it in the fall and again this spring - no winters). Guy bought it 3 yrs ago from Florida and has since put 12K on it. Paint is a mess - even the swirl marks have swirl marks. Back window looks like it's never been properly cleaned. Original back tires need to be replaced.

Here the bottom line: $29,500 Canadian

I figure even with the low mileage it's worth $25K tops.

From the way you described the owner's care for the car I don't even want to look at it. Obviously this is the reason why the For Sale sign has been on it for 6 months already.

Yeah, the same thing has been going through my mind. What else could be wrong with the car. (But those swirl marks can be buffed out, right ) If I'm serious about this, Honda will be hoisting it up to get a peek.

OSC: I thought that price might be high. I was really suprised to see such a beauty of a car with sucky paint.

When I asked him about maintenance, he said he didn't have to do anything to the car. I said, 'What about oil?!?' he reply, 'I get that done at an oil and lube shop.' Ummmm, yeah.

What work does the maintenance schedule call out for between 10K and 23K?
