whats up everyone.

i am about to buy a hard top from another member on the board, his car is MY01 and mine is MY04.

can this work out, are the hard tops the same, is the mounting hardware the same. i don't give a damn if the defroster doesn't work, i just want to know if it will fit on my car.

Tops are all the same.. Install kits are for specific years. Get the approiate kit for your year and the top will fit. You adjust the top by removing the inside roof panels where the anchor pins are attached.

 

you can use the kit off of the my01 for your my04, i did this. The only thing that you will not have (which you do not need but you might want) is the defroster kit and the kill switch for the soft top.
