Default Can anyone help with shipment?

Can anyone tell me how to ship a front bumper? It is a huge item and I have no clue how to ship it. Put it in a box? Just wrap it in bubble sheets? Thanks!

That would be the way to do it. As long as the impact is >5mph your bumper doesnt even need bupple wrap!

Just wrap in bubble tape, the fat kind, and use a sturdy box. If no box available, cut up a couple of boxes to make one big one. That's how I shipped an exhaust before.

I was thinking about shipping it without a box, just wrapped in bubble sheets. Is that a good idea? Findind or making a box that size is such a pita. It is painted, and scratches are a real concern too.

Lets see...make a box in about 15 minutes or have to repaint it because something poked through the bubble wrap.

Make a box, lots of packing tape over duct tape is my preferred method.

Also, fedex will likely be the cheapest shipper.

If you have a local Honda dealer that does body work, they may have a box for you.

Worth a call.

If there's a bike shop near you, you might ask there for a box. Bicycle frames ship in a box that would probably fit a front bumper with some minor modification. Bikes shops usually throw them out. (boxes that is, not bike frames or front bumpers).

Definately get a box somewhere.
