Default simple gas gauge question

I noticed on my gas guage that for some reason the little meters the gas gauge doesnt go all the way to the red where it shows your empty. Im not sure if its always been like that but i just recently noticed it. All the other little meters for the gas light up except one that seperates the red meter on the left with the others which have the orange color. Is this normal or did one of the bulbs fry. If one did mess up or in the future if one of them do, is this covered under warranty. Thanks

The 00-03 gas gauge goes from all amber to nothing. I think the red you are referring to is on either end (full - empty) of the gauge.

There is a space between the empty red line and the last guage light.....its supposed to be like that, although it does look like a light is burnt out.

If you look at the advertising brochure that the dealers had in the showroom for the '00-'03 cars, you'll see a picture showing it that way. I'm not sure about the '04+ models.
