Can A/C be added on a S2000 CR "delete" model?

i already passed that one. however, most 09 rio yellow CRs wtih a/c in this country still go 33-35k. after tax, reg, and shipping, it's 40k. i dont feel i will pay that much.
I may be wrong-someone please correct me if I am-but you cannot buy a new car out of state.

Kalifornia will not allow you to register any out of state vehicle with less than 7500 miles unless you moved from an address in said state.

You could do a crazy road trip in the CR, but that seems a bit excessive to me. On the otherhand, used CR w/ A/C and radio from out of state are still fair game.

Personally, I can't imagine life without a retractable top. Sorry Cr folks.

what kind of crappy law is that....... force all the buyers to pay the 9%+ tax.................... however, i am going to get used. none of those rio yellow CRs will have reasonable price.

I talked to my friend at the dealership and he has an idea for you. Go to the competing dealership of the one thats giving you problems. Tell that dealer exactly what you are looking for (the exact car in question). A friendly dealership could negotiate a price that is more on par with what you're looking to pay. Then they'll dealer exchange it away from the dealer that won't give you a good price. You'll know where the car is but the new dealership won't know and likely won't care.

Basically, you'll get that car you're looking for from a dealer that'll give you a good price. Then A-hole salesman can't do a thing about it. Be sure to drive by and say hello.

Oh yeah, the price for the dealership to do a conversion on a CR was approx $8k, their cost.

it's just because the one who has the car is about 170 miles away from me. otherwise, i will just go there and throw him all the cash, and see what he reacts.

i am glad to pay 10k more than a 06 certified for a CR if it's possible. pmed you.

someone has a 08 cr with a/c for sale in FL. 11000 miles, asking for $26000. but i am socal. willing to buy it. however, haven't got respond yet. i got $$$, but no car.

170 miles should not be an issue for a dealer exchange.

I made a deal on one of my new cars with a dealer in town, they had none of that particular car on their lot. They got it from a dealer more than 100 miles away and were willing to go a couple states away if necessary.

The dealership was shocked as well. I don't blame you.

Good luck, hopefully you'll hear back about the car in Florida.

Dealer trades could work with out of state too, I believe.

The whole 7500 miles thing is stupid, but I just remembered my buddy got his Jeep via dealer trade from out of state.

As long as the car is a 50 state, which it is, then you're fine. It's just the stupid issue of you not being able to buy it from an out of state dealer.

Trades are easy for them to do; they can just chuck it on a car carrier. I would definitely calling your local dealer with a hard OTD number for the CR w/ a/c and radio, and see if they can source one for you. My guess is some state still has one.

In my experience with many dealership, if the car is out of state but reasonably close (a few hundred miles), they will send someone to DRIVE it, not transport. Everytime I requested a transport if they were to swap with an out of state dealer, they said they either won't do that or they just told me the cost of them hiring someone to transport it.

Now, if it was clear across the country or over many states, I'm not sure what they'd do. But I'd assume that they wouldn't discount you as much (if they would even be willing to swap with a dealer that far) since it would cost them quite a bit to have it trailored over.

however, the only possible CR will get is from one of our members in FL. there is another one in TX. 8500 miles. but it's 2 yr old car and 2 owners already. price is same. but i dont know if i can trust that car.

if i can't make a deal with him, i will just go to 2 local dealers and see which one 06 certified rio yellow to pick.
