Can this be done-power door lock switch
It annoys me to all hell that i cannot open the passenger door with the key in the ignition without reaching over, so i am considering this idea. On the driver side door there is a window lock for the passenger side window. I find this switch 100% useless and would and will neve use it. Can that rocker switch be used to control the passenger side door lock? It could either be made into a switch just for the passenger door or a switch that opens both doors with one touch, like the BMW's have. What about getting the guts of a switch from a different car in a wrecking yard and giving it a shot? Since the remote opens the doors, does that mean the locks are electric? Comments, suggestions appreciated.
My suggestion, talk to Modifry. He has an electronic module that you can use to wire the roof switch (or any other of your choosing) to the passenger door lock switch. I've seen this on his car and works pretty good. Here's the link to his website:

If you do a search, you will find various threads discussing this exact topic. A couple of good threads are:
- PITA to unlock passenger door? + Trunk release/acc power outlet hot wire swap. (Note: Make sure you read Modify's corrections in this thread before you do anything.)
- A few s2000 gripes/concerns? Passenger door locking, and conv top
I am planning to follow the instructions in the first thread, and add a momentary switch under the drivers dash panel to enable unlocking the passenger door.
Good luck!

I just want to point out that the S2000 in other parts of the world can UNLOCK the passenger door when the driver's door is unlocked. So it may be true that all the parts necessary are already in all S2000s, but just that the USDM version is wired up differently (probably to protect AHM because some American idiot will unlock the door while going at a high speed and some other idiot passenger opens the door and falls out and claims Honda should not allow the passenger door to be unlocked). So far, all requests for non-USDM owners to post a wiring diagram for their door lock/unlock have resulted in silence.
Not only is the wiring different in US cars to European ones, the keyless entry module also different and they even have different sized connectors. If Modifry already found a way then go with that one.
