Talking Can I get a better deal than this ?

Just came back from the dealer. The final offer is $32K OTD. $30K for the car + Tax+ Tag. No dealer fee. They want me to put $100 tohold the car till Monday when the bank open. But I told it's a $32K decision so let me sleep on it. So is $30K (inluded destination fee, dealer fee) is a good price considering 06 is only 3 months away ?

well, i think 30k can be beat, BUT 32k OTD cannot. but since OTD is all that matters so i would buy the car.

i don't know where you live or how much tax is over there, but if i got the car for 32k OTD the purchase price would be considerably under 30k.

Its a good price. I guess it just depends on if you want to wait on the 06s or not.

There might be a few extras on the 06s ......you never know till they come out.

And most probably you can get an 06 at that price if you look hard enough.

$30,000 with 6.5% tax is $31,950.

Since you are willing to wait anyway, maybe you should offer $1K less than their current offer. When they don't accept your offer. Politely tell'em that's as much as you are willing to pay and politely walk out the door. They will try to stop you, but stick to your price. There is a good chance they will counter your offer. When they do, tell'em that's a bit too high, but you will think it over. When they call on Monday, tell them that you are ready to close the deal for $31K, OTD and stick to your offer. If they don't meet your price, they WILL call you back in a couple of days with a counter offer and during that time you can decide if you want to wair for the 06s. You have the advantage because it's your money and you are willing and able to wait. Good Luck and let us know when you close a deal.

You got a good point. I guess it doesn't hurt. I have a few things going for me. 1) It a cash deal- no finance. 2) The car sitting in the show room for 2 months(that what he told me) so it costing the dealer money now. He also told a detail that I don't think he suppose to: He said he selling the car at invoice ($29,405 + $595 destination fee=$30K)and making a profit from HONDA = 3% HOLD BACK.
My wife driving me crazy. Telling me to get the car now because the 06 will not be selling at invoice.

You know after reading this thread again. I think you should take the deal

Chance's are you wont get that kind of a deal on an 06 till late Jan or Feb.

Unless your willing to wait that long. There difinetly wont be any major changes

in the car. Could be a new color added and other minor stuff. Look at this way

you'll have the car all summer and into the fall, actually the best time for the top

down atleast where i live. But as mad dog said play em a little and see if you

can get another 1k knocked off. The ball is difinetly in their court, they have to

make the moves. Either way you'll enjoy the car its one of the best things i ever

did.

$30,000 with6.5% tax is $31,950

plus $50 TAG=$32K

What TAG do you mean? If your talking registration/tags.....I want to live in your area mine is like..$$xxx.99 I didn't know there is anything we could buy for the S for $50 $32K OTD sounds like a good deal to me. The '06 will probably only have very small changes and higher price. IMO the S already has everyting you need(except the 9K rpm '04+)

p.s I hope honda comes out with a realy cool, totaly-redone, generation2 S. New body lines, more power, more rugged drive train, etc...
(I know... hard to improve perfection, but before the S I never thought you could achive it So anything is possible......burnrubr: )
