Not sure where you live but there was a guy here in SC last month selling his 00 silver with 12K for $20,900 and it was always garaged. The VW dealership in Atlanta had an 01 silver with 27k for $19,600.
So I think you need to try to bring the price down to about $22.000.

That seems like a lot for the car, especially this time of year in Spokane. Dealers know that people will pay extra in the spring and early summer for a roadster, but they also know that the opposite effect takes place in the fall and winter (and this is not reflected in "blue book" values). I agree that the price being offered to you is a starting price, with a fair amount of play in it.

yes 23.5k is alot for a 01. I paid significantly less for my 01 in march...
and i bought it from a dealership in southern California.

seems like a high price. I agree, make that the driveout price with warranty, and that might be better.

Not sure where you live, but there is a '00 Red in Rochester, NY with only 4,000 miles that can be had for $22,000 (maybe less). I had member "Scarlett" check the car out for me......and he said it was absolutely "Primo".
