Thumbs up Can the OEM Seat "backs" be disassembled?

I rememby my Brides can be unbolted but haven't attemped on the oem seats.....

Right now each seat makes an "L-SHAPE" that is a pain to pack up so I'm wondering if there are bolts to remove the seat back so I can lay it flat. Has anyone attempted this before or have a DIY?

TIA again!

Yes, unbolt the back. Look at a Honda Parts site to look at which bolts to undo. It's a philips screw plastic plate over a few medium bolts.

where do I find this honda parts site? Are you talking about the shop manual?

I see the bolts but have to figure out how to get the plastic off the recliner handles....

The handles come off by pulling on them. They are hard to remove ... pull on them, dont be afraid.

its super easy. just start taking bolts off and pretty soon the seats will be in 2 pieces. 10 minutes tops even including taking them out of the car. good luck.

thanks guys, I got the seats into about 10 different pieces, not that hard once you know where the bolts are!

I appreciate all those who chimed in on this thread! With your help I was able to move the seats cross country *WOOT

Anyone want to see what two s2000 seats looks like when 100% disassembled? hehehe

I'll snap some pics when I get a chance! Gotta luv Southwest free check-in luggage policy
