Can our bumper be repaired?
Well, after 27,000 miles and over two years, I've damaged my car! My son took the car for an errand and parked in the garage with the wheels turned. I jumped in the next day, backed out and caught the track of the garage door with the side of the rear bumper. I can't blame him, I saw the wheels were turned earlier and just forgot when I backed out. There is a crease in the bumper and paint scraped off. Does anyone know if this can be repaired or does the whole bumper need to be replaced? Since the bumper is plastic, the dent can't be removed like a door ding. I'm sure the bumper is pretty expensive, so it would be nice to not have to replace it.
Boy, it hurts even more when you do it yourself!

Yes it can be repaired in most cases. Mine had a crack in it and the bodyshop sent it off to some bumper repair place and they fixed it.. something about remolding the bumper?
But it is doable.
But it is doable.
Thanks for the feedback. I'll start contacting body shops. I've seen some threads about good shops in San Pedro and Costa Mesa. Anyone have a recommendation in South Orange county? The Lexus dealer had a recommended one in Laguna Niguel that I might try, but would be happy for other suggestions.
